Exclusively brought to you by the Rural Services Network

Dear Marie

This week, we continue to focus on the challenges facing rural communities in relation to heating oil and fuel costs. We have been engaging with Government and highlighting emerging concerns, as feedback from members points to rising costs, limited protections for off-grid households, and questions around the level of support available. Your insight is invaluable in helping us build an accurate picture, so please do continue to share what you are seeing in your area, read more here.

Alongside this, this week’s Bulletin brings together a range of updates from across the rural policy landscape, including new research on rural poverty, developments around the RTPI’s rural amendment to the Devolution Bill, action on waste crime, and opportunities to recognise the work of community businesses.

Last night, we were pleased to hold our Rural Market Towns Group meeting. Thank you to all those who attended and contributed to the discussion, your input is always greatly valued.

Finally, a reminder that our RSN Member Exclusive Seminar on Rural Communities takes place this Wednesday. There is still time to book your place, please register here.
